When Nature Calls, We Listen—Together
Love in Action: United by Nature is a series of sacred service events offered by Interspecies Voices in response to urgent crises impacting Nature in all forms.
Through Intuitive Interspecies Communication (IIC), we come together in reverence and reciprocity: to listen, honour all voices, responding with care and presence.
Why This Event Now
Canada is burning.
As of 5 June 2025, there are 201 wildfires burning across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario—half of them classified as “out of control.” These fires are devastating communities, ecosystems, and wildlife habitats.
Wildfire and smoke know no boundaries.
Their effects extend far beyond provincial and national borders, impacting air quality and daily life across Canada, the United States, and even Europe.
We gather to listen—deeply and intuitively—to learn what Nature wish us to share, and learn how we can help.
Each of us can make a difference—through our presence, our listening, and our hearts. When we come together, our efforts are amplified.
Featured Guest Speaker
Sydney Kuppenbender, M.E.S, BScRRM
Sydney Kuppenbender (she/they) is a proud queer, disabled Métis person born and raised in the rural, primarily Indigenous Northern Saskatchewan community of La Ronge, and is currently living and working on Treaty 6 territory in what is currently called Saskatoon. Sydney is deeply passionate about environmental justice and advocacy, including the decolonisation and Indigenisation of the environmental sector, and the rights and autonomy of Nature beings.
Sydney’s vision for the future of the environment sector is for beings of the Land affected by human development projects to be consulted and considered as equitable in the consultation process; this is reflected in both her recently published Master’s thesis research, titled Bringing Animal Voices to the Table: Exploring Intuitive Interspecies Communication as a Method for Conservation and Human-Animal Coexistence, and in the work she does as a project coordinator for Elder Copper Jack and his Land and Peoples Relationship Model.
Sydney’s family was recently displaced from her home community of La Ronge, Saskatchewan, due to record-breaking wildfires threatening the safety and wellbeing of the homes and lives of all 7,000+ human residents. Severe wildfires are an all-too-common and worsening reality for northern communities. She joins us to share insight, lived experience, and inspiration.
About this Event
This 90-minute online event begins with a grounding meditation led by Christine Noble Seller, founder of Interspecies Voices.
We’ll then hear from guest speaker Sydney Kuppenbender, who brings both lived and professional insight into the deeper roots and present-day realities of the fires burning across western Canada. She’ll share Insights into Indigenous fire stewardship, the roots of today’s crisis—and the path forward.
Christine will then lead an experiential exercise, inviting you to listen intuitively to the Wildfires, and to the flora and fauna affected by them. This guided communication offers an opportunity to listen to what Nature wants us to know—and how we can help.
We’ll continue with an open Q&A and sharing circle, where you’re welcome to ask questions, reflect, or share any impressions or messages received. The gathering will close in gratitude, honouring what has been shared and received in sacred space.
